Affordable housing is our purpose and focus.

Our focus on affordable housing is driven by a mission to serve low- and moderate-income individuals and families throughout Utah.

Because of our mission, we balance product affordability, sustainability, and revenues to maximize social impact.

Financing Affordable Housing in Utah

Afforda provides more affordable housing for Utah through affordable, flexible short-term financing. We specialize in acquisition and development (A&D) and bridge financing to empower developers, builders, banks, and community organizations to find and fund more affordable housing projects.

Our competitive interest rates, low lifetime cost of capital, and flexibility in working with unique financing guidelines make us a great partner for multi-family, transit-oriented development (TOD), and stand-alone projects. With Utah experiencing skyrocketing housing prices due to increased growth and demand, we remain committed to making a positive impact for good in the lives of individuals and families throughout Utah.

Our Origin Story

In the 2008 financial crisis, families throughout Utah lost their homes through foreclosure. It was a difficult time for them financially and emotionally. These foreclosures created a surplus of homes that needed to be renovated and returned to our housing stock.

Several government, community, and banking partners, including Zions Bank, formed the Utah Center for Affordable Housing (UCAH) to facilitate the purchase, renovation, and sale of foreclosed homes to families seeking to live the American Dream.

A trusted team with deep expertise and a collaborative mindset.
